Case

A 69 year-old woman presented with a slowly enlarging 2.0 cm non-tender parotid gland mass. An FNA was performed.

Cytologic Diagnosis

SUSPICIOUS FOR MALIGNANCY

Biphasic neoplasm suspicious for epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma.

Clinical Follow-up

The patient had a superficial parotidectomy.
Frozen section favored an epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma; examined margins were negative.
Final diagnosis: Epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma.
